    Hello Jason,

I like the video gave me some ideas to write an Organizing plan for the new task but the most important thing now for me is to write an strategic plan for the VOC for them to feel the need to organize and to ready for salting.

Good to hear the basics again. When you are in this game for a while you tend to stray away from the basics.

True, I find I need to schedule times to reflect or you get too caught up in the day to day

I think it’d be helpful if you made a video for a Union Organizer who is sitting down to plan their week out. It’s challenging. You have so many people you want to meet with, workers don’t know their work schedules ahead of time, you want to bring other worker-leaders on visits and that takes more coordination, you want to prioritize top leaders, but if that visit falls through you still want to use that time productively with other workers. It’s really challenging to plan the week out well. I doubt I’m the only one.

    Many thanks

Thank You Jason, I too am also new to organizing. I have recently been asked to develop a business plan. I have never done any kind of business plan and found your information extremely helpful in getting the basic outline down. Now I feel more confident in developing one that suits my situation. Thanks again, keep’m coming.

Jason: Enjoyed this first video. Developing a strategic plan is important. The six points you discuss are helpful.

Here is an observation based on my 38 years as a union leader. For anyone promoting the value [and necessity in a global economy], of having a union, knowledge of Labor history can be critical. Prospective members need to understand the history and achievements of the Labor movment. They probably learned little about organized labor in school, so an organizer needs to “paint a positive picture.’ Perhaps a future video can incorporate Labor history as part of your series.

Due to my position, I cannot be involved in union organizing “directly”. I will continue to view your upcoming videos and promote and share your materials with union officers and organizers in our Labor Council.

    Thank you

    Jason,
Great video! Unions strive for good planning. You can’t conquer the mountain without a plan that will become your life-line. Next step is to make sure your members have a buy-in and embrace the plan.

Thanks for the video. This was helpful

Excellent presentation. I’m a newly appointed Union Organizing Chairman. I am currently discouraged by one target and moving to a second. I’m motivated but lack training and love learning. Please send me anything you have for organizing.

Great video – well organized and with a lot of specific suggestions. I’m an employee in a non–union environment who is interested in organizing our workplace, and I look forward to your videos.
